Erratic Driving Complaint Results In Taconic Felony DWI Charge

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- A Carmel man was arrested Wednesday after troopers found that he was drunk during a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway, according to New York State Police.

Joseph M. Beach, who was found to have been convicted of driving while intoxicated within the past 10 years, is facing a felony DWI charge in connection with his latest arrest by troopers investigating a report of erratic driving, police said.

The 30-year-old was issued several traffic tickets and later released without bail. He is to appear in Mount Pleasant Town Court on Thursday.
