South Salem firefighters spent more than two hours clearing Route 35 following a single-vehicle crash on Sunday just west of the Shell Station at the junction of Route 121 north.
The crash, which occurred around 3 p.m., was a reported rollover with extrication needed, but when crews arrived on scene they found that all passengers had been able to exit the truck which had flipped over the guardrail and rolled down the embankment, Chief Avery Scott said.
Route 35 was shut down and traffic diverted through Mark Mead Road as firefighters made sure the vehicle was secure and began removing the debris from the road.
Lewisboro VAC and WEMS treated and transported the victims to local hospitals, Scott said.
Firefighters were on scene for about two hours before returning to service.
