LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- New York State Police arrested a New Fairfield, Conn., resident Sunday on charges of illegal possession of a controlled substance and driving while impaired by drugs in the Town of Lewisboro, police officials said.
Salvatore Gambitta, 35, was arrested after police said they found the illegal prescription pills during a routine investigation of an accident on Interstate 684.
Gambitta was released and is due to appear Nov. 25 in Town of Lewisboro Court, according to State Police.
