SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. - Vincent dePaul Farrell, Jr. of South Salem died Sunday, Nov. 16. He was 68.
Farrell was born Nov. 13, 1946, in the Bronx, to Vincent dePaul and Marie (O'Neill) Farrell, Sr. He graduated from Princeton University in 1969 and received his M.B.A. from Iona College Graduate School of Business in 1972. He spent the majority of his career as a founding partner at Spears, Benzak, Saloman & Farrell (SBSF), of NYC, NY. SBSF was acquired by KeyCorp in 1995, after which he held various consultative investment officer positions at other firms. He was a regular guest on the cable networks CNBC and Bloomberg, as well as other national print and broadcast media.
Prior to joining SBSF in 1982, he spent nine years at Smith Barney, Inc. as a vice president of Sales. From 1969 through 1974, he taught high school History and coached varsity football at Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle.
Farrell is survived by his wife, Clotilde Bove Farrell, Jr.; children, Vincent DePaul Farrell, III, Christopher Bove Farrell, Nina Clotilde Farrell, and Joseph Peter Farrell; daughters-in-law, Gretchen Farrell and Jillian Harris; two granddaughters; sister, Patricia Farrell; and a niece. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 19 at St. Mary Of The Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah. A private cremation is scheduled.
