GOLDENS BRIDGE, N.Y. – Donald M. Brailey of Goldens Bridge died July 7. He was 63.
Brailey was born July 7, 1949, and raised in Niantic, Conn. He graduated from New London High School and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.
His studies were interrupted by service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, Brailey graduated from RPI with a degree in chemical engineering. A professional engineer, he work for Metcalf & Eddy and then Hazen & Sawyer in New York City.
Brailey worked on projects for the New York City water supply and waste water treatment. He also worked on water supply development in the western states and waste water projects in Australia and Singapore.
His parents, Donald W. and Barbara Brailey, predeceased him. Brailey is survived by a daughter, Abby; his wife, Susan; three brothers, David (Linda), Kip (Kim) and Michael (Jenny); two nieces and four nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
