Wolf Center to Host Summer Camps for Kids

SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. – The Wolf Conservation Center is offering after-school and summer Wolf Camp for kids beginning in June.

The four-day programs will help provide kids with the opportunity to discover the various myths that surround wolves, walk with a wolf, play a unique game of hide-and-seek using tracking and telemetry tools that real wolf  biologists use in the field, create plaster paw prints from real tracks in the field and take part in arts and crafts and photography lessons

The program, for children in grades 2-5, will have a minimum of four children and a maximum of 10. All children who complete the program will get a special “Junior Wolf Biologist” certificate and other souvenirs.

The after-school sessions are from 4-6 p.m. and cost $100. Spaces are available for the June 12-15 and Jun 26-29 sessions.

The summer sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon and the fee is $150, which includes snacks. The camps will be July 10-13, July 24-27, Aug. 7-10 and Aug. 21-24.
