What’s Happening In Lewisboro This Week

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – Here’s a look at events taking place around Lewisboro this week, including town board and committee meetings, as well as library happenings.

Monday, July 30

Town Board Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Lewisboro Town Board will hold one of its two regular monthly meetings at the Lewisboro Library. The meeting will feature a legislative update from state Sen. Greg Ball. 15 Main St., South Salem.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

Wok Cooking at the Library: 1:30 p.m. The Lewisboro Library will present a wok cooking class for children in sixth grade and up hosted by cookbook author Norma Chang. Students will get to eat what they prepare – chicken-garlic stir-fry. Space is limited and registration is required. Call the library at 914-763-3857.

Lewisboro Adult Seniors Meeting : 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The seniors will hold their regular weekly meeting at the South Salem firehouse. For more information, contact senior adult Director Pam Veith at 914-232-6162. 1190 Route 35, South Salem

Stormwater Management Committee: 4-6 p.m. The Lewisboro Stormwater Management Committee will meet at the Town House for its regular monthly meeting. 15 Main St., South Salem.

Thursday, Aug. 2

Lewisboro Library Toddler Time : 10:30 a.m. The library offers stories and activities for children ages 20 months to 3 years. It will also hold its preschool program for ages 3 to 6 at 1:30 p.m. Both events require registration. Call the library at 914-761-3857. 15 Main St., South Salem.

Friday, Aug. 3

Sleeping With Wolves: 7 p.m.-9 a.m. The Wolf Conservation Center’s new nocturnal adventure experience gives visitors a chance to camp out overnight with the 25 wolves that call the center home. With all the howls and nature’s nighttime chatter, you’ll feel as if you’re camping under the stars with wild wolves. Cost is $275 per four-person tent. Singles are $150 but must bring their own tents. Admission includes a pizza party with the center’s ambassador wolves, an opportunity to behold critically endangered red and Mexican wolves, a movie under the stars, evening snacks and a light breakfast.
