LEWISBORO, N.Y. - Here’s a look at events taking place around Lewisboro this week, including government meetings and library happenings.

Monday, April 16

Lewisboro Town Board Work Session: 7:30 p.m. The Town Board will hold its monthly work session at the library, 15 Main St., South Salem.

Tuesday, April 17

Lewisboro Sustainability Committee Meeting: 6:30 p.m. The Sustainability Committee will hold its regular monthly meeting in the upstairs meeting room of the Town House, 11 Main St., South Salem.

Lewisboro Library’s Technology Workshop:  7 p.m. The Technology and You Workshop teaches library patrons how to use the library catalog and library cards to download free audiobooks and eBooks onto compatible digital device. The workshop will run approximately 90 minutes. When registering, indicate which session you will attend and the type of digital device you own. Participants should come prepared with their library card with PIN, the device, an Adobe user-identification and password and, if applicable, a laptop. If you have a Kindle, you will need an Amazon user-identification and password. Call the library at 914-761-3857 to register or for more information. Lewisboro Library’s Fiction Writing Workshop: 7 p.m. The library will hold its fiction writing workshop led by South Salem author Kim Kovach, who wrote “A Few Bad Decisions,” “The Adventures of Kitchawan Kenny”. Explore character, setting, point-of-view and dialogue via in-class writing exercises and homework assignments. Registration is required. Call the library at 914-761-3857. Wednesday, April 18

Lewisboro Library Mother Goose Time: 10:30 a.m. The library presents songs and stories for newborns to children 20 months old. Registration is required. Call 914-761-3857. The library is located at 15 Main St., South Salem.

Thursday, April 19

Lewisboro Library Toddler Time: 10:30 a.m. The library offers up stories and activities for children ages 20 months to 3 years. It will also hold its pre-school program for kids 3 to 6 at 1:30 p.m. Both events require registration. Call the library at 914-761-3857. The library is located at 15 Main St., South Salem.

Friday, April 20

Lewisboro Elementary School Spring Production: 7 p.m. The school will hold its annual spring production. Call 914-763-7800 for information. The school is located at 79 Bouton Road, South Salem.

Wolf Conservation Center’s Birthday Howl:  6:30 p.m. The Wolf Conservation Center will celebrate an important milestone – ambassador wolves Alawa and Zephyr’s first birthday. Guests will learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolf families and discover why spring is a magical time for packs in North America. Guests will take a short sunset hike to howl “Happy Birthday” with Alawa and Zephyr and the staff will deliver the pair special wolfy gifts. Ambassador wolf Atka and the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican wolves will also be on view. All guests will be served weather-appropriate treats. Bring flashlights. The fee is $16 for adults and $13 for children under 12. Pre-registration is required. Visit the center's website for information.
