The Trailside Nature Museum at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Route 121, Cross River will hold a naturalists choice hike beginning at 1 p.m. Join a museum naturalist and learn about some of the exciting ecological events that are occurring. The Wolf Conservation Center, 7 Buck Run, South Salem, will hold an art safari from 9 a.m. to noon. Wildlife artist and conservationist Alison Nicholls will discuss all aspects of art including the challenges of sketching in the bush. Guests will have an opportunity to learn about her expeditions in Africa. The WCC will donate half the proceeds to the Pained Dog Conservation Project. Cost is $60 per person. The Wolf Conservation Center, 7 Buck Run, South Salem, will hold a Pack Chat for Kids at 2 p.m. Its an opportunity for young kids to learn about the myths and misconceptions about wolves. The Lewisboro Library will hold its annual wine tasting benefit to Help Keep the Library Liquid, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the home of Tony Award-winning Broadway producers Fan and Barry Weissler. SUNDAY, JUNE 5
The town of Pound Ridge will hold Pound Ridge Pride 2011. The event kicks off at noon in the business district at noon in front of Bank of America where people can sing up for beautification projects to help spruce up the business districts. Come in work clothes and be ready to pitch in. From 2-5 p.m., there will be a town-wide block party on Westchester Avenue with barbeque, music, ice cream, a bake sale, a pie-eating contest, hula hoop contest, and more.
