Vista Fire Dept. Responds to Six Calls This Week

VISTA, N.Y. – The Vista Fire Department responded to six calls this week, including five requests for an ambulance.

The fire log for the week of Feb. 6-12 follows:

Feb. 6

At 7:45 a.m., the department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Birch Spring Road.  The patient was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital with a Westchester paramedic on board.

The department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Conant Valley Road at 11:09 p.m. The patient was transported to Westchester County Medical Center.

Feb. 8

At 1:32 a.m., the department received a report of an automatic alarm at a business on Smithridge Road. The alarm was checked and determined to be a malfunction.

Feb. 11

The department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Old Farm Road at 6:46 p.m. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital with a Westchester paramedic on board.

Feb. 12

At 12:25 p.m., the department received a request for the ambulance for a person who stopped at the Vista Firehouse.  The patient refused to be transported to a hospital.

The department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Mill River Road at 3:17 p.m.  The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital with a Westchester paramedic on board.
