VISTA, N.Y. The Vista Fire Department responded to five calls this past week, ranging from a structure fire to carbon monoxide detector activation. The fire log for Jan. 2-8 follows:
At 1:34 p.m., the company received a mutual aid request for an engine and then a tanker at the scene of a structure fire on Twin Lakes Road in South Salem ( http://www.thedailylewisboro.com/news/fire-destroys-house-kat-lewisboro-board-member ). The company also requested the New Canaan Fire Department to relocate one engine in its fire house.
The company received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Glen Drive at 12:03 a.m. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital with the Westchester paramedic on board.
At 5:44 p.m., the department received a report of a carbon monoxide detector activation at a residence on Lake Side Drive. Firefighters checked the residence and found no carbon monoxide present. After checking the owners detector it was determined to be past its life expectancy.
The company received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Lake Kitchawan Drive. At 8:58 a.m. The patient was transported to Danbury Hospital.
At 11:04 a.m., the company received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Smithridge Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital with the Westchester paramedic on board.
