Vista Fire Department Responds to Seven Calls

VISTA, N.Y. -- The following blotter items were reported by the Vista Fire Department:

July 25 at 4:37 p.m. - The department was notified that a fire alarm had gone off at a residence on Smithridge Road. It was determined that the alarm had been set off by cooking.

July 25 at 5: 29 p.m. - A person came to the firehouse for medical assistance with a laceration. The person refused to be transported to a hospital.

July 26 at 4:49 p.m. - The department was notified that a carbon monoxide detector had gone off at a residence on Split Rock. No carbon monoxide was detected in the home. The homeowner reportedly said he would contact his alarm company.

July 27 at 9:04 a.m. - The department received a request for an ambulance at a residence on Kitchawan Road. The patient was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital with the Westchester paramedic on board.

July 28 at 9:30 a.m. - The department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Lakeside Drive.  The patient was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital

July 28 at 8:24 p.m. - The department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Smithridge Road.  The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital.

July 29 at 2:53 p.m. - The department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Elmwood Road.  The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital.

July 31 at 1:29 a.m. - The department received a report that a carbon monoxide detector had gone off at a residence on Robins Wood Lane.  No carbon monoxide was detected in the home. The homeowner will contact his alarm company.
