Vista Fire Department Responds to Six Calls

VISTA, N.Y. – The Vista Fire Department responded to six calls this past week, four of them ambulance requests.

The fire log for the week of May 7-13 follows:

May 7

At 10 p.m., the department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Ridgeland Road. The patient refused to be transported to a hospital.

May 9

At 5:15 p.m., the department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on West Road. The patient was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital with the Westchester paramedic on board.

May 10

The department received a report of an automatic fire alarm activation at 7:10 a.m. at a residence on Canaan Circle.  It was determined to have been set off in error while the homeowner was cooking.

May 11

The ambulance was called to a home on Old Farm Road at 4:04 a.m. The patient refused to be transported to a hospital.

At 9:26 p.m., the company received a request for the ambulance at a residence on East Street.  The patient was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital.

May 13

The company received a report of an automatic alarm activation at 2:57 p.m. at a residence on Hastings Court. It was determined to have been set off in error as a result of cooking.
