WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Victoria Stangarone and Amanda Gentile of White Plains High School will help document the White Plains March for Babies this Sunday, which is one of 900 locations holding the March of Dimes' premiere fundraiser of the year.

Celebrities like Shaquille O'Neil, Niki Taylor, Eli Manning and Venus Williams will be participating at sites across the country, according to the March of Dimes. Latin recording artist and international superstar Thalia, a long-time supporter of the March of Dimes mission to give mothers full-term healthy babies, will walk with fans at Saxon Woods Park on Sunday, the March of Dimes said.
March for Babies, now in its 42nd year, has raised a total of $2 billion to support cutting-edge research. This year's fundraising goal is $110 million.
"Funds raised at March for Babies support our efforts to give all babies a healthy start in life," Dr. Jennifer Howse, president of the March of Dimes, said in a press release.
Rob Kissner is the president of The Digital Art Experience, a soon-to-launch enrichment program that offers courses in personal technology and digital media arts for teenagers and adults. Stangarone and Gentile will join several other students from area high schools who have already signed up for the two-week summer course to support Sunday's event.
"The March of Dimes has asked us to record video of the event for future promotional use," said Kissner, who expects his new business to open its doors in June.
Stangarone and Gentile will also have their original work on display at the event, in addition to Christopher Reifsnyder, of Rye High School, and instructors Cristina Calabrese, Nicholas Sceusa, Matt Fitzpatrick and Kissner.
The estimated 7 million March for Babies participants can either walk as an individual or as a team by visiting their website.
