A 65-year-old Northern Westchester man caught outside without his pants on in nearby New Canaan, Conn., last week told police that he was naked for "medical reasons," according to police.
At around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 19, police were dispatched to Lapham Road in New Canaan on a report of a naked elderly man near a parked car. When they arrived, they encountered Daniel Dobbins of South Salem. Dobbins was sitting in his car with a shirt and shorts draped over him and no underpants, police said.
Police determined that Dobbins had been outside his car fully nude when two people had seen him and contacted police. Police said that Dobbins cited medical reasons for being fully nude.
Dobbins was issued a misdemeanor summons for second-degree breach of peace, and released on a promise to appear in court on June 2.
