Slick Westchester Roadways Result In Numerous Accidents

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The second round of snow that began falling in the area Saturday evening resulted in numerous accidents on roadways in and around the county.

There were multiple accidents on the Sprain Brook Parkway in both directions by the Hawthorne exit late Saturday.

An accident, reported at 9:45 p.m., blocked the right lane on I-684 near the Saw Mill Parkway interchange in Katonah. 

A serious, multi-vehicle accident, reported at 7:30 p.m., resulted in the closure of the Taconic State Parkway in Carmel.

An accident on northbound I-684 at I-84 was reported at 10:15 p.m.

Farther south, separate accidents were reported on the northbound Taconic at Route 100/Route 133 (at 9:45 p.m.) and on the southbound Taconic at Pinesbridge Road in Ossining (at 9:40 p.m.).

An accident on northbound I-95, reported at 9:50 p.m., caused delays between Mamaroneck Avenue (Exit 18B) and Playland Parkway (Exit 19).
