WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The National Weather Service has extended its severe storm watch, originally in effect until 4 p.m., until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
This follows a severe thunderstorm warning that had been issued at 3:45 p.m. for Westchester until 4:30 p.m.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely through 10 p.m. Tuesday. Some storms could be severe, with heavy rain, gusty winds and hail.
It will clear up Wednesday with sunny skies and a high of around 83 degrees.
