LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- About 25 residents attended the recent planning board meeting last week to voice their opposition to a proposed three-bedroom house on Oscaleta Road, according to a story in the Lewisboro Ledger.
Rudolph Petruccelli has owned a plot of land next to Lake Oscaleta since 1982, but nothing has been on the land since then. In the last few years, Petruccelli has been trying to build a single-family home there, but concerns about the property’s wetlands and opposition from neighbors have stalled his plans and put the project in danger of not being approved, the story said.
The project includes the construction of a three-bedroom house, deck, porch, driveway, walkway, landscaping, septic system, potable well, fencing, and storm water facilities, according to the planning board.
Neighbors have voiced their concerns about the negative impact such construction would have on the property, the story said.
