The will begin airing on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 8 p.m. with Giudice appearing in daily “check in” calls and frequent family prison visits.

The three-part special will show how it has been a challenging year for the Giudice family. With Teresa Giudice serving out her prison term and Joe Giudice facing a longer sentence after her release, the family must learn to cope without her.

On March 4, 2014, Teresa and Joe Giudice entered guilty pleas to 41 counts of fraud after striking a deal with federal prosecutors. They were accused of engaging in $5 million in bank, mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud over a 10-year period.

On Oct. 2, 2014, Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in a federal prison; Joe Giudice was sentenced to 41 months, followed by potential deportation to Italy. They must also pay $414,000 in restitution.

Teresa Giudice began her sentence first, entering the prison in Danbury on Jan. 5, and is scheduled for a two months' early release, on Feb. 16.
