LEWISBORO, N.Y. A John Jay student was reported missing by his parents to the Lewisboro Police Department on Thursday, Dec. 1, but was found with friends three days later by State Police.
The boys parents told police that they took him to high school on Thursday where he went to his morning classes but skipped BOCES, which they did not find out until they came to pick him up at the end of the day. The parents then began contacting his friends and drove around looking for him. The reached out to the boys former girlfriend, who said she had not seen him. At 5:15 p.m., the former girlfriends mother called the boys parents and said he was at their house. When the parents arrived to pick him up, he had left.
Police tried to contact the boy by cell phone, but the calls went directly to voice mail. Officers checked areas the boy was known to frequent, but he did not turn up. At that point State Police were notified.
The State Police found him a few days later, said Lewisboro Police Chief Frank Secret. He was alive and well. We knew that he was around because people had seen him. He wasnt the type of kid to run away.

NOV. 28
Officers were dispatched to a fire at a residence on Waccabuc Road. Upon their arrival, the Goldens Bridge Fire Department was on the scene for a kitchen stove fire that had been extinguished.
Police received a request from the South Salem Post Office to perform a welfare check at a home on Kingwood Way. The post office employee said he hadnt seen the couple who lived there in a month and noted one had Lou Gerhigs disease and the other was overweight. Police checked the residence and said it appeared to be empty. Door and windows were secured and no cars were in the driveway.
NOV. 29
Police were called to Lower Salem Road after receiving complaints that a man was walking around and appeared drunk or disorientated and didnt speak English. Officers found him sitting on a stone wall. Police were able to determine that the man works at a construction site somewhere in South Salem, but couldnt determine the exact location. The man indicated he had gotten drunk and was left alone and wanted to go home. Officers called a cab.
Police responded to the call of a cardiac arrest at a residence on Old Bedford Road in Goldens Bridge. When officers arrived the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Goldens Bridge Fire Department were on the scene and CPR was in progress. EMS was able to get the subjects heart beating again and he was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.
NOV. 30
A business owner on Goldens Bridge Road told police that a contract employee had stolen several checks from his office, made them out to himself and then cashed them. Lewisboro police supplied the business owner with supporting depositions to fill out and return to the State Police. The case was turned over to the State Police.
Police were called to Cove Road in South Salem for a disabled tractor trailer. Officers met with the truck driver who said he was stuck on a sharp turn on Cove Road after making a delivery. The towing company arrived and determined that the trailer brakes needed maintenance and performed the required adjustments and was able to remove the truck from the sharp turn.
DEC. 3
Police responded to a trespassing call on Boutonville Road just past Rainbow Hill Road for a person hunting with a crossbow. Police interviewed the groundskeeper for Fair View Farm, who is also a custodian for Truesdale Woods Estates, which abuts the farm property. He said that the alleged trespasser was hunting with a crossbow, which alarmed him. He said the hunter had crossed the property line onto Truesale land, where he did not have permission to hunt. The groundskeeper notified the Environmental Conservation Police (ECP) and Lewisboro police. ECP took possession of the crossbow, which is not permitted in Westchester County and the Town of Lewisboro. The case was turned over to the ECP.
