LEWISBORO, N.Y. – Lewisboro Supervisor Peter Parsons has declared a state of emergency for the town effective 3 p.m. Friday due to the snowstorm that could bring blizzard-like conditions.

All residents are urged to keep off the roads.

“Residents should anticipate roads being essentially impassable until Saturday evening,” he said.

Parsons said the town's non-emergency 24-hour live information line is operational. Residents can call 914-977-8043.

In the event of widespread electrical outages, the Town House (11 Main St., South Salem) will act as the emergency operations center and a warming/charging center.
