New Longterm Forecast Says Winter Won't Be 'As Brutal' In Lewisboro

Those hoping for a less brutal winter in the area will be pleased with Accuweather's early winter forecast, which has the northeast dealing with less sub-zero days than last winter brought.

Granted, nothing is guaranteed, but Accuweather forecaster Paul Pastelok expects fewer days of brutal cold due to a mild beginning to winter.

Cautioning expectations with a "we just don't know exactly yet," Pastelok notes that the weather pattern could turn "cold and snowy" in February and March.

In other good news, projections have the West dealing with rain and snow that will help ease the long-term drought California has been under for some time.
