LEWISBORO, N.Y. – The snow storm that is sweeping through the northeast has already brought more five inches of snow to some northern Westchester County locations and has left more than 200 Lewisboro residents without power as of 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

New York State Electric and Gas says 6,587 of its Westchester customers are currently without power, 236 of which are located in Lewisboro. Two hundred NYSEG customers are blacked out in South Salem, while Waccabuc has 28 outages and Goldens Bridge has eight. According to the power company, some neighborhoods may have their power back on by 7:30 p.m. Saturday night, while for some streets the power company was not able to provide estimated restoration times.

The storm is expected to end late Saturday night/early Sunday morning and some areas in Westchester and Putnam counties could see more than 10 inches of accumulated snow, according to the National Weather Service.
