More Than 1,100 Lose Power In Lewisboro

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – New York State Electric & Gas said 1,162 Lewisboro customers had lost power as of 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, likely due to high winds ushered in by severe storms moving through the area.

NYSEG estimated that most of the power would be restored by 11 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch until 11 p.m. throughout Westchester County. It also issued a wind advisory for Westchester and New York City until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Winds of up to 50 miles per hour are possible.
