Lewisboro Officials Back County Legislation To Ban Some Plastic Bags

LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- Lewisboro's Town Board voted on Monday to voice support for proposed county legislation that would ban some types of plastic bags.

The board passed its advisory legislation 4-1, with Councilman Frank Kelly abstaining.

The proposal, which was introduced by Westchester County Legislator Catherine Parker, is sending before the Board of Legislators.

Several municipalities in Westchester have declared their support, it was noted at the meeting.
