Lewisboro Firehouses Have Water, Meals, Ice Today

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – Bottled water, dry ice and self-heating meals are available as of 3 p.m.Wednesday at the South Salem firehouse on Route 35 for those who are still without power.

The fire department has 10-pound blocks of dry ice to distribute. Volunteers say there should be enough for as many as 100 people, depending on the demand. Volunteers will continue to hand out the water, ice and meals until they last.

The Vista firehouse also is handing out dry ice, but residents should call (914) 533-2727 to check on availability. Vista is also providing drinking water and non-potable water and is providing charging stations for electrical devices such as laptops and cell phones. Free WiFi is also available.
