LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- A Lewisboro dog walker was collared Thursday for stealing everything from jewels to prescription medicine from one of her clients, according to the New York State police.
Marissa N. Foley, 28, was charged with felony grand larceny by troopers from the Somers barracks following a lengthy investigation, state police said.
The investigation began in August after a Lewisboro resident called state police to investigate the theft of silverware, jewelry, and prescription medication from their home, state police said.
During the investigation, it was discovered that Foley, employed by the family as a dog walker, had stolen the items while caring for the family’s pets.
She was arrested and released on $1,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
