LEWISBORO, N.Y. The Lewisboro Conservative Party Town Committee has reiterated its support for incumbent Supervisor Charles Duffy.
Committee Chairperson Evelyn Kahlow said that after a meeting with Duffy last week, the committee remains enthusiastic about his candidacy and supports his bid to be re-elected on Nov. 8.
Kahlow said Duffy reviewed a number of issues with district leaders at the meeting, including the disposition of his legal case. Duffy recently pleaded guilty to a driving while ability impaired charge. They also discussed the upcoming budget and Duffys plans for further cost-saving measures.
Our district leaders know Charlie personally, admire him for what he has accomplished in less than two years, and trust his ability to lead Lewisboro on the continued path to recovery, Kahlow said. If you read the recent report from Standard & Poors, which upgraded Lewisoros credit outlook to stable, you can see the praise they had for Mr. Duffys professionalism, even as they noted continuity in leadership over the years has been a major problem for the town. Charlie deserves a second term and the town needs him.
According to Kahlow, Duffy holds the highest elected office for a registered Conservative in New York State. He is vying to become the first supervisor to be re-elected to a second term in Lewisboro in a decade.
