"State DOT officials expect the lane to remain closed until later Friday afternoon," said Trooper AJ Hicks.

The incident occurred around 12:50 p.m., Thursday, when the driver lost control of the tractor-trailer on westbound I-84 near East Fishkill and ended up hanging over the bridge overtop of Route 52 dumping debris over the roadway, said state police said.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling in the area or take an alternate route if possible.
