SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. – The South Salem Presbyterian Church will hold an interfaith service at 6 p.m. Saturday to memorialize the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in Newtown, Conn., and to help promote healing throughout the Lewisboro community.

The service, which the Rev. Chip Andrus of the Presbyterian Church is calling “Healing and Wholeness,” is open to the public.

Rabbi Carla Freedman of the Jewish Family Congregation of South Salem and the Rev. Gene Ott of Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church will participate in the service.

“It’s to help us find peace and healing,” Andrus said.

The South Salem Presbyterian Church is at 111 Spring St.
