Grand Marshals Named For Northern Westchester-Putnam St. Patrick's Parade

CROTON FALLS, N.Y. -- Northern Westchester-Putnam's St. Patrick's Day parade committee is hosting its grand marshals installation featuring Peggy Evers Grant and Bernie Cummins on Friday, Feb. 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Centennial Golf Club.

Centennial Golf Club is at 185 John Simpson Road in Carmel. 

Cummins is a member of the Emerald Association, where she has held various positions on the executive board. Cummins was honored as “Emerald of the Year” in 2007. She also volunteered at the Putnam County Feis. She is a Member of the County Tipperary N & B Association. Cummins is also involved with the Committee for the Patterson Relay for Life. Cummins has been on the St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee since 1999, starting as publicity chairman now holding the position of treasurer.

Grant has been a part of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee in Putnam County for the past 22 years, serving as treasurer, line up coordinator and co-chairman (twice); has volunteered her time with Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corps for 14 years as an attendant and EMT; and is now an EMS member of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, where she celebrated her first anniversary in November.

In addition, Grant has worked as a legal secretary at Welby, Brady & Greenblatt in White Plains, for the past seven years.

Tickets for the event are $35 per person and door prizes and a 50/50 raffle will also take place.
