GOLDENS BRIDGE, N.Y. A Goldens Bridge woman was charged with multiple felonies on Thursday, including DWI and vehicle assault, after state police say she struck a pedestrian who was walking along Brundige Drive.
State police, along with the Lewisboro Police Department, were called to Brundige Driver in Goldens Bridge at approximately 4 p.m. and discovered that Thomas Eichner, 52, had been struck from the rear by a vehicle driving in the wrong lane. Police say that Eichner was properly walking northbound on the shoulder of the southbound lane.
Police arrested Patricia A. Whittaker, 69, of Goldens Bridge and charged her with felony DWI; vehicular assault in the first degree due to a previous felony DWI conviction, a D felony; aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, circumventing an ignition interlock device, a misdemeanor, and failure to keep right, a violation.
Eichner was transported to the Westchester Medical Center for treatment where he remained.
Whittaker was arraigned in the Town of Lewisboro Court before Justice Marc Seedorf and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail and will reappear later this month.
