The blaze occurred at a home on Hillside Avenue, which is a narrow dirt road not too far from the Lewisboro hamlet's business center.

Goldens Bridge First Assistant Fire Chief Al Melillo recapped the response in a statement provided to Daily Voice. He said the fire department was dispatched for a structure fire on Tuesday night at 11:28 p.m.  He said the home was at 33 Hillside Ave., in the Goldens Bridge Colony.

The response was in less than five minutes, Melillo added.

The structure was found to be unoccupied, according to Melillo. Water tankers from five other fire departments were requested, he added.

Mutual aid, according to Melillo, came from South Salem, Vista, Somers, Katonah and Croton Falls departments.

The assistant chief also said there were no injuries and that the fire's cause is under investigation.
