Further Katonah-Lewisboro Enrollment Decline Forecast

LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- The demographer hired by the Katonah-Lewisboro School District presented his updated findings at a school board meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21 and his projections indicate more declining enrollment numbers, according to Patch.com.

Dr. Richard Grip's study was commissioned by the district as it continues to weigh the possibility of closing Lewisboro Elementary School. Grips study estimates that KLS total enrollment will drop from its current number of approximately 3,200 now to roughly 2,600 in five years and fall below 2,200 students within 10 years, Patch.com reported.
