Funds Set Up To Help Families Of N. Salem Storm Victims

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – Two websites have been created to receive contributions from the many people who want to help the families of two North Salem boys killed during Hurricane Sandy.

North Salem's Michael Robson, at bat, and Jack Baumler, his teammate, were killed during Hurricane Sandy.

Michael Robson, 13, and Jack Baumler, 11, were playing together in the Baumlers’ Peach Lake home when a tree toppled onto the house, killing both boys.

Contributions will be used to help the Baumlers rebuild their home and replace its contents and to help both families cover the costs of funerals, grief counseling and other unreimbursed medical expenses.

Donations can be made by credit card to the Baumler Family Relief Account and/or the Robson Family Relief Account.

A third website, dedicated to the Baumler-Robson Fund, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, is currently under construction. The fund will be used for community services, such as scholarships and memorials, in honor of the two boys. The website is expected to be ready in a few weeks. All contributions will be tax deductible.
