Duffy is making a write-in bid primary for the Republican ballot line; the primary is set for Thursday, Sept. 10.

At issue for Duffy is the decision of both the local Republican and Democratic committees to cross-endorse all six incumbents for town offices, arguing that it results in just a small number of people picking the candidates.

On his campaign Facebook page, Duffy added, "This was particularly disappointing to me as I was endorsed to run in 2009 and 2011, and just two years ago was recognized as the Republicans "2013 Volunteer of the Year.""

The cross-endorsed incumbents include Councilman John Pappalardo and Dan Welsh.

Welsh has run with the Democrats in the past while Pappalardo has run with the Republicans, according to county records.

Details about Duffy's case for primary voters can be found on his campaign Facebook page and in a recent interview with The Lewisboro Ledger.

Polls are scheduled to be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
