People driving northbound on I-684 will be rerouted on Tuesday and Wednesday at Exit Two onto NY-120 because of paving activities, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The renovations will occur both days between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The detour, according to a news release courtesy of the NYSDOT, will be marked by road signs, work zone signs, and flaggers.

The release also said that drivers should be reminded that speeding in a work zone such as these results in a doubled fine.

Michael Swanston is from Harrison and said the roadwork wasn’t too intrusive to his morning commute.

“There were some cones, and traffic slowed up only a little bit,” he said. “But I’ve definitely seen worse.”

Ron Rojas is from North Castle and was driving on 684 this morning to attend a meeting in Mount Kisco when he encountered the roadwork.

“Talk about bad timing,” he said. “Luckily, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would have when I heard about it this morning. I survived, and so will everyone else.”
