WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The NYPD and FDNY, both of whom have several Westchester residents serving in their ranks, have always enjoyed a healthy rivalry. During Sunday's charity hockey game between the bravest and the finest, that rivalry boiled over into a brawl between the teams, according to CBS New York.

The score was tied 3-3 in the second period when the donnybrook erupted. Both benches cleared and nearly every player with the exception of the goalies got involved, CBS New York reported.

I'm sure they had some hidden inspirations to physically need some Combat...good ole tough guys...everyone a lawsuit or incident report ever was a good game!

Last sentence - good pun, intended or not!

While it was an embarassment it did not stop the Finest & the Bravest from working together to protect the public. Two police officers in Brooklyn were overcome by smoke and FDNY rescued them. Both agencies are the top first responders anywhere in the world. They are always called on for their expertise. A hockey game should not change your mind about the primary goal.
