Autopsy Calls Goldens Bridge Drowning 'Accidental'

GOLDENS BRIDGE, N.Y. - A 58-year-old Goldens Bridge man died Thursday afternoon when he drowned in a backyard pool at residence on Todd Lane and authorities are saying it was an accident.

According to state police investigator Brian Dedusevic, an autopsy performed Friday by the Westchester County Medical Examiner' office revealed that Peter Krinitsky died as the result of an "accidential drowning." Invesigators are still awaiting a toxicology report and other testing, but Dedusevic said no foul play was suspected.

"It's a tragedy because you don't expect it," Dedusevic said. "The family is shocked. He led a healthy life. He was 58, but seemed fit."

Dedusevic said that Krinitsky was a tenet in the guest house on the property. His body was found by the landlord.

The Goldens Bridge Fire Department responded to the call at 55 Todd Road at around 1:35 p.m. on Thursday.
