Ossining resident Howard Fleischer is the creator of RiddleCube....The Game, which recently won the gold award from the National Association of Parenting Publications.

Fleischer is president and founder of RoyaltyPros Licensing, which helps negotiate licensing deals with companies. An entrepreneur, inventor and product designer, RiddleCube was licensed to Educational Insights and launched this year.

"It's really picked up a lot of speed," Fleischer said. "It's really taken off. I might have found the secret sauce that I've been looking for the last 35 years.

Fleischer reviewed a lot of products and knew what worked in a game.

"It's the type of a game a grandfather can play with his grandchild," Fleischer said. "They can play straight up without letting the child win and really have fun playing it. A game has to be visually appealing, hands on and make you laugh out loud. When you play RiddleCube, you end up laughing out loud."

RiddleCube features 100 cards with a word description on either side with a one minute timer. A player takes the card and shows it to the other players. Everyone has one minute to make the  card using their cubes. The first one to get five cards wins the game.

Seeing his game become a hit has been very satisfying for Fleischer, who jokes it took him more than 30 years to be an overnight success.

"As an inventor or creator, you have a vision in your mind of where you want to go," Fleischer said. "There are lot of roads before the vision is realized. It's very satisfying to know if you don't lose sight of your vision and stay with it , it will someday come to fruition."

Fleischer said he has received positive feedback from his fellow Ossining residents.

"There is a great sense of pride," Fleischer said. "Everyone who knows me is cheering me on."
