South Salem's Cecelia Stingel Dies at 69

SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. - Cecelia Marion Stingel, of South Salem, died Nov. 16 at Putnam Hospital in Carmel, N.Y. She was 69. 

Stingel was born in Rhinbeck, N.Y. to the late John and Irva Oravetz. Previously employed by Village Answering Service, she enjoyed crafts and baby-sitting for her family.

Surviving are her husband Frederick J. Stingel, her daughter Annamarie Ellsworth Weiss and her husband Richard of Ridgefield, Conn., her brother John Oravetz of North Carolina, her sister Irva Murray of Florida and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date by Bouton Funeral Home in Georgetown, Conn. Memorial donations may be made to the Vista Fire Department, 377 Smith Ridge Road, South Salem. NY 10590.
