South Salem Resident Katherine Taylor Selected For Book Research

LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- South Salem resident Katherine Taylor has been selected to participate in a unique internship at Fisher College.

She will be part of the research team for authors Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge, who are writing a chronicle of the events surrounding the Boston Marathon bombings.

“This is an important book that requires thousands of hours of research and first hand interviews with the victims, members of law enforcement and first responders,” said co-author Casey Sherman in a release.

“We chose the group from Fisher College to assist us because each student was affected by the tragedy in a unique way. The students will also get hands on experience conducting interviews, analyzing government documents and a further appreciation for Boston’s history," he added.

Casey Sherman is considered one of America’s preeminent true crime authors and investigative journalists. He has been a featured guest on NBC’s "Today Show,"  "Dateline NBC," CNN and many others.

Dave Wedge is an award-winning investigative journalist who most recently served as the Boston Herald’s chief enterprise reporter. Wedge has covered a variety of local and national news and political stories in his career, including reporting from Ground Zero on Sept. 11, 2001.

The book is to be published in the fall of 2014.
