SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. – A pancake breakfast fundraiser will be held at the South Salem firehouse from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday to raise money to create a memorial for Gregory and Molly Friedlander.

The breakfast is a Boy Scout Eagle Service Project to create a memorial for the Friedlander children who were slain in October 2011 in their home with their mother.

The Boy Scout leading the effort is a senior at John Jay High School who assists on Sundays at Jewish Family Congregation religious classes in South Salem. Molly and Gregory Friedlander attended the Jewish Family Congregation religious school.

The cost of the breakfast is $10 per person. For more information, email Crystal Kennedy, chairman of Troop 154 Goldens Bridge Committee, at ScoutmasterTroop154@googlegroups.com .
