The library is tracking donations needed for its planned $3.1 million building campaign with new thermometers around town. Donations have helped raise roughly $2.4 million and library officials are hoping to show thanks with the new thermometers outside the library at the intersection of Routes 35 and 121.

Library Board President Gary Page said the thermometers are a “perfect way to give the community a snapshot of how close the Library is getting to the $3.1 million needed to renovate and expand our present structure," according to a news releease.

"We wanted to provide the people of Lewisboro with a visual progress chart of our fund-raising success, and (Board Trustee) Ken (Klotzkin) stepped up with the money and manpower to erect the eye-catching Fund-raising Thermometers," Page said in the release. "As the Building Campaign donations ‘rise,’ so will the progress on our thermometers.”

Donations to the Lewisboro Library Building Campaign may be made online at www.lewisborolibrary.org/bldghome.htm or by sending a check to the Lewisboro Library Building Campaign at PO Box 477, South Salem, NY 10590.
