To the Editor:
The choices we make in the upcoming election for school board are critical. Our community faces the difficult challenge of minimizing spending and taxation while maintaining the highest quality of education and programming within the constraints of our financial reality. We also face divided priorities among our community, our board and the employees of our school district. We are writing to encourage all members of our community to vote for Jeff Holbrook in the upcoming Board of Education vote. Adding Jeff to our school board is our best hope for flattening or reducing our school budget while maintaining or enhancing the high quality education our children receive. We have known Jeff since 2009 and we are certain that his expertise, objectivity and personal motivations are perfectly aligned with the broad range of needs within our community. Jeff’s professional expertise as a Human Resource executive at a global financial services company will make him an immediate asset. He offers vast experience guiding collaborative dialogue and shepherding groups with opposing views toward the best possible outcome.
Jeff also brings a balanced objective approach to decision making. Jeff will represent our community best, by evaluating facts and concerns on an issue-by-issue basis, rather than viewing matters through the lens of bias or allegiances.
