To the Editor:
My retirement from public life was eased by the Town Board’s unanimous appointment of my deputy Janet Donohue to replace me as Lewisboro town clerk.
I know the office is in good hands. Janet is well-prepared to handle the responsibilities with efficiency, diplomacy and discretion. The job is so much more than just minutes, filing forms in triplicate and spelling names correctly!
Janet’s familiarity with the town’s records and website is serving her well as she continues my efforts to preserve and protect records and insure public access. The clerk’s office continues to be an important source of information during emergencies.
I urge the voters of Lewisboro to keep a good thing going and keep Janet L. Donohue as Lewisboro town clerk.
Kathleen Cory Andreasen
