Elliot is a 15-pound neutered male who is very friendly but can't really "meow" — he has little to no voice.

He went missing in the vicinity of his home on Old Norwalk Road in New Canaan.

Elliot has never disappeared in the five years he has lived with his family.

The New Canaan Animal Control Officer has been notified, and Elliot's family has 50 fliers in nearby mailboxes.

If you spot, Elliot you may notice he is a polydactyl, which means he has extra toes on his two front paws. Also, he was neutered by PAWS (the animal shelter in Norwalk where his family adopted him) and his left front ear was slightly clipped to show he has been neutered.

Elliot is friendly and up to date on his shots. His owners think another family may be feeding him and without realizing he has a home.

He does not have a collar and won't keep one on.
