However, DeFabers 1,000-watt smile and bubbly persona will likely calm your nerves if you find yourself having to navigate the local legal system.
DeFabers job keeping the legal systems wheels turning smoothly and efficiently for Lewisboro keep her pretty busy. However, she was more than happy to take a timeout and spend a few minutes with us answering five questions.
Q: What is it you like best about your job as court clerk?
A: Theres something different that happens every day. It never gets dull. For example, yesterday was a regular day and then, all of a sudden, we had an arraignment at 3:30 in the afternoon.
Q: Whats the most challenging aspect of your job?
A: First, you have to understand the laws. But also, its having to deal with difficult defendants. Sometimes the situations can be dicey. You have to learn to deal with them appropriately.
Q: What do you like best about living in Lewisboro?
A: I grew up here. Its a small town where you know everybody. Plus, its nice having a five-minute commute to work.
Q: Whats your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
A: Im very family oriented. I like to hang out with my twin nieces theyre one year old. I like to paint too. I use acrylics. I used to have a fantasy about being a pastry chef, but with my job I dont get a lot of time to bake much anymore.
Q: Whats your favorite TV show?
Vampire Dairies! Thats my favorite show and Im not embarrassed to admit it. Its fanciful and it gives you a break from reality.
