Traveling This Summer? Check Your Passport, Lewisboro

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – Are you thinking about traveling abroad this summer? Do you need a passport? Is your old passport about to expire? It can take up to eight weeks to get a new passport, but the Westchester County Clerk’s Office is trying to make it a little easier.

A mobile passport office will be stationed at the Lewisboro Town Hall on Thursday, May 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at the North Salem Town Hall on Thursday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pick up an application, have it processed and even have your picture taken if necessary. This is what you will need:

  • Proof of U. S. Citizenship, such as a previous passport or an original or certified copy of your birth certificate. If you do not have an original birth certificate, a certified certificate can be obtained. Click here for more information.
  • A valid driver’s license or government issued identification card
  • A recent passport photo. If you do not have any, one can be taken in the mobile office for a fee of $10.
  • The fee for an adult passport is $135, $105 for a child’s passport. You must present a check, money order or credit card. Cash is not accepted.

Expedited delivery within two to three weeks is possible, if you are willing to pay an additional charge of $60 per passport.
