It's the name, in fact, of her second novel which tells the story of four women whose lives have fallen off their expected paths and how they navigate their way back through the least likely of places.

The story takes place in Westchester -- namely Scarsdale and Rye -- as well as Manhattan.

Cullen, a Pelham resident, said she chose those areas because they are places she frequents often. She also wanted towns that were easily recognizable to readers.

Among the landmarks mentioned: Heathcote Road, where one of her characters (and her fictional home) reside.

In Rye, much of the action takes place at the train station -- and Metro North --  where the main character, a teenage girl commuting to her summer job, encounters her “crush."

"Second Chances" also mentions the Scarsdale Starbucks, Soul Cycle, Winged Foot and Sunningdale.

Cullen, who has a background is in marketing and strategy consulting, worked full time in consulting until six years ago when her third daughter was born. That's when she decided to stay at home full time and try her hand at writing, a long-held passion.

Her self-published first book, “The Way I’ve Heard It Should Be," came out in November 2015 and paperback in May 2016, and was set exclusively in Rye.

"Second Chances" was published in June and though Cullen isn't sure she'd call herself a full-time author as of yet -- she's busy with her mom duties -- she has started working on a third book.
